The adventure bike segment has seen massive growth in recent years and one such company which has been doing exceptionally well in this segment is Honda. The Japanese manufacturer which enjoys a decent share in the Brazilian market has now launched the XRE 300 Adventure Bike to take on the likes of the Yamaha XTZ250 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The Honda XRE300 is powered by a 291.6cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled motor that delivers 25.4 hp at 7,500 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. In terms of dimensions, the XRE300 measures 2,195mm in length, 838mm in width, and 1,215mm in height. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,471mm, an amazing ground clearance of 259mm, and a seat height stands at 860mm. Similarly, it has a dry weight of 148 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 13.8 litres. The Honda XRE 300 gets an Africa twin inspired silhouette. It gets an all-LED lighting setup, a digital instrument console, a prominent ADV-style beak, a sculpted fuel tank with extended fairings, ergonomically placed handlebars, and an aluminium top-rack carrier. The Adv bike comes with a 21/18-inch wheel setup, shod with dual-purpose tyres. The XRE300 sits on a semi-double crib chassis. It gets 245mm telescopic forks at the front and a 225mm Pro-link unit at the rear with pre-load adjustment. Braking duties are provided by disc brakes at both ends with optional dual-channel ABS.The 2021 Honda XRE 300 carries a price of BRL 20,390 (Nrs 4.64 lakh) for the ABS version and goes up to BRL 20,890 (Nrs 4.75 lakh) for the Adventure and Rally variants, without taxes.  Although the Japanese automaker has carved a separate niche for itself in the ADV segment in our market, it seems very unlikely that Honda Nepal will bring the XRE300 here, mainly because of the exorbitant tax structure.
